PayGo congratulates its customer, BGE, on the recent approval from the Public Service Commission of Maryland to provide PayGo’s Pay As You Go energy program for eligible customers.
Baltimore Gas and Electric Company is deploying a voluntary prepaid energy program that will give customers greater control over their energy expenses by permitting advance payment for their energy use. A prepaid program is one way that BGE is beginning to leverage Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology to provide customers with more choices in order to respond to their specific needs, improve customer satisfaction, and even alleviate the need for security deposits and late fees. Under this proposed pilot program customers can choose to prepay for their anticipated energy consumption, track how their usage is trending in relation to their pre-payment, and add to their prepaid account as needed.
